Gene Garrick, the beloved husband of Pam Garrick, passed away peacefully in his home Wednesday, December 28th. Gene had fought a long battle in his health for the last few years, and it was time for him to go home to be with his heavenly Father.
Gene was the founder of Waukaway Christian Retreat Center which he purchased in 1976 to be a quiet place to get away from the pressures of life and spend time with the Lord. Gene loved Waukaway and spent many retreats and sponsored kids camps over the years there.
He loved life, he loved people, he never met a stranger. Gene loved his family and he loved making special memories with them. He touched many lives for Christ, and he will be missed by many.
