Summer is CLOSE. Really close! And we are firing on all cylinders in the race to prep and execute a fantastic summer.
Back in January we sent out a request for financial support for a few critical projects and we are pleased to say that we are nearing completion of our (major) lighting projects! We are so incredibly thankful for each person that made this possible, and want to highlight the outstanding effort from our Maintenance Technician, Nic Grover, for all of his hard and dedicated work making the center area and campfire/waterfront areas well-lit and safe for our campers. Photos cannot show all of the planning, pricing, preparing, gearing up, and physical work that has gone into these projects. Join us in thanking God for Nic and his faithful service to the body of Christ, here at Waukaway, and beyond.
We are also thrilled to celebrate the fact that we have seen our Spring retreat schedule blossom and were able to host several short retreats in March and April, and have a couple more on the calendar yet before summer.
We are also gearing up for our annual Lake Cleaning Event and hope that you will consider joining us as we prep our swimming lake for a summer full of good, clean, *cold* fun!
Lastly, we just ask that you continue to pray for our Summer Staff. We are continuing to recruit and are finding it more difficult this year due to some of our host’s limitations. We know God will supply all of our needs, so please prioritize this very real need for even more highly qualified, energetic, leaders to join our team this summer.
Continue to stay connected as we will be sharing so much joy with you as we host God’s kids this summer.
