The Stories You Write

Updated: Dec 10, 2019

It was April 1994 when my life was forever changed. I was sitting beside my mother and sister as Joan Hendry spoke to a ladies retreat in Waukaway’s early meeting room - with the red shag carpet, noisy air conditioner, and dining outside on the picnic tables. I received my salvation that day and I have been a witness to what God is doing at Waukaway Springs Christian Retreat Center ever since.

I am currently serving as the Volunteer and Donor Coordinator and my testimony is just one of the countless stories your prayers and generosity helped to write. I personally owe so much to each of you that give and pray for this ministry; thank you all so very much!

Our prayer is that you will truly know how much we appreciate you and your support of this powerful ministry. When you choose to partner with us, we want you to know what kind of story your gift will write.

  • Your gift writes words of transformation for summer staffers who grow in the face of their fears and doubts.

  • Your gift writes hope onto the hearts of our Great Kids Camp scholarship recipients who hear about a Savior that sees them even when they feel overlooked and abandoned.

  • Your gift tells a story of generosity - the kind God himself showed us with the amazing mercy and grace given to us in the form of Jesus.

  • And your gift lights the way for others to have the opportunity to hear the Truth and make an eternity-impacting decision.

We recognize the fact that your prayers and contributions are vital to this ministry and would ask that you please consider Waukaway Springs in your end-of-year giving. For your convenience, you can give:

  • Online here.

  • Or mail a check to: Waukaway Springs Christian Retreat, 189 CR 2351, Vossburg, MS 39366

New this year: If you would like your generous donation to be made in honor of someone as a gift for the holiday season, please let us know. As an expression of our appreciation, we will then mail you a gift-worthy postcard that you can pass along to your loved one to let them know how they’ve been honored through your giving.

Thank you in advance for your continued support.

Enthusiastically His,

Karen Perkins, Volunteer and Donor Coordinator
